I have to prepare for the mental arithmetic test, but how?

Trading Interviews usually contain a mental math test. Traders have to be very comfortable with handling numbers under pressure. Even though the trading scene is transforming into a more algorithmic environment, the vast majority of traders still have to make quick decisions behind their desk.

So how will the test generally look like? The Introduction to Mental Arithmetic and Interview Tips page (free access) elaborates on this topic.

Exercise is key. Try to keep track of your results and try to improve them as much as possible. The tests will generally be timed. For example, you could face a test with 80 questions which have to be solved in 8 minutes. You do not need to finish them all, but you have to pass a certain threshold. The three levels of mental arithmetic tests on this website (free access) should help you prepare for your interviews.
