We are a quantitative and systematic trading firm that employs a rigorous mathematical approach to pricing securities and constructing portfolios across multiple asset classes globally.
A diverse team of Traders, Quantitative Researchers, Technologists and Operations personnel closely collaborate to solve problems and develop cutting-edge models and systematic trading strategies.
We are looking for passionate self-starters eager to take on real-world challenges and drive meaningful impact. As part of a collaborative team, you will work alongside traders and quantitative researchers to develop models that identify alpha, execute trading strategies, and analyze market behavior. Throughout the 10-week program, you will gain hands-on experience while contributing directly to XY Capital’s success by deepening our understanding of financial markets and enhancing our trading capabilities
• Studying for an undergraduate, master’s, or PhD in a STEM subject
• Suitable for students graduating in Summer/Winter 2027 or Summer 2028
• Excellent understanding of research methodology and techniques
• Proficiency in Python – including Data Structure Engineering, Pandas, Sci-Kit Learn, XG Boost, Tensor Flow and/or similar libraries
• Any ADRs/GDRs, dual-listed securities, US ETFs or EMEA equities trading/research experience would be a bonus
• Experience working as a part of a small, highly collaborative team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, ambitious, tenacious, team player
• Proficiency in English is a must
• Must have a right to work in the United Kingdom for duration of the internship
• Must be available during the internship full-time
• Fully stocked pantry
• Invited to join weekly trading and research meeting with a chance to present your ideas
• Be considered for a graduate role following the internship
