Belvedere Trading

Belvedere Trading is “a leading proprietary trading firm” and options market maker founded in March 2002. It started life making markets in the SPX pit on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange, and has since grown into a fully electronic derivatives market maker specialising in equity index options.

The firm now employs close to 300 people across offices in Chicago, Boulder, New York and Singapore. Its trading, technology and quantitative research teams build and run the pricing and risk systems in house, and Belvedere describes its people as its central competitive advantage.
