Prop Trading Firms in Chicago
The prop trading firms with an office in Chicago, what they trade there, and the roles they have open right now.
Why Chicago
Chicago is where American derivatives trading is centred. CME Group and Cboe Global Markets are both headquartered here, and a large part of the city's proprietary trading industry grew directly out of the futures and options pits that surrounded them. Several of the firms below were founded in Chicago in the 1990s and early 2000s by traders who came off those floors, which is why the city's desks still skew heavily toward listed options and futures market making rather than the equities and ETF work that dominates New York.

What Chicago interviews involve
Chicago interviews lean on options intuition and mental arithmetic under time pressure more than most. Expect market-making games, probability questions and a strong emphasis on speed.
