Group One Trading

Group One Trading is one of the largest options trading firms in the United States, founded in San Francisco in 1989 and now headquartered in Chicago. As the firm puts it, “we are an options market maker and/or specialist with every major exchange group”, with physical operations on CBOE, NYSE AMEX, NYSE ARCA and NASDAQ PHLX.

The firm manages extensive portfolios across thousands of securities and streams two-sided quotes electronically, while retaining a specialist presence on the floors. It is privately held and has grown alongside the expansion of the listed options market over more than three decades.

New hires go through an orientation followed by a three-phase analyst programme tailored to individual progression, across offices in Chicago, New York, San Francisco and Philadelphia.
