Eclipse Trading

Eclipse Trading is “a leading proprietary trading firm which combines technology and quantitative analysis to provide liquidity in the various markets we trade”. Founded in Hong Kong in 2007, it specialises in equity derivatives across Asia-Pacific and North American markets.

The firm’s strategies are deliberately direction-agnostic: “our trading is neutral to market direction and includes various arbitrage strategies”. Traders operate on proprietary electronic platforms built and maintained by an in-house development team, and the two groups work closely on platform improvements and strategy refinement.

Eclipse now employs over 120 staff across Hong Kong, Sydney, Shanghai and Chicago. The firm is known for a relaxed, casual working environment alongside a high performance bar, and recruits traders, quantitative analysts and developers from universities across Asia and Australia.
