Keyrock

Keyrock is a global digital asset investment group founded in Brussels in 2017 by Kevin De Patoul, Juan David Mendieta Villegas and Jeremy De Groodt. It leads in market making, asset management, OTC and options trading for digital assets, and builds “scalable, self-adaptive algorithmic technologies to support efficient digital asset markets”.

The firm provides liquidity to more than 85 centralised and decentralised venues worldwide across some 1,400 markets, and has grown into a business valued at over $1 billion. It launched a US entity in 2025 as the regulatory climate improved, adding to entities in Belgium, the UK, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and France.

Keyrock is deliberately distributed, with more than 200 people working across dozens of countries rather than concentrated in a single office. Its main hubs are Brussels and London, and it hires quantitative researchers, traders and engineers alongside a substantial business development function.
