A clock fell and broke into three pieces. The sum of the numbers on each piece is the same. What are the numbers on those pieces?

The sum of all numbers on the clock is \begin{equation} \sum_{i=1}^{N} i = \frac{N*(N+1)}{2} \end{equation} \begin{equation} \sum_{i=1}^{12} i = \frac{12*13}{2}=78 \end{equation} Therefore, the sum on the three pieces is 78 / 3 = 26. The pieces will have the numbers {11, 12, 1, 2} {9, 10, 3, 4} {5, 6, 7, 8}
