This lesson covers how large, traditional institutions actually get into crypto, and why the plumbing that lets them matters to a trading desk. The headline change is the arrival of US spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, which let anyone buy crypto exposure through an ordinary brokerage account. Around them sits the institutional infrastructure that made serious money comfortable: qualified custodians and crypto prime brokers. We build the ETF from an everyday example, work through the create-and-redeem mechanism that keeps its price honest (and the new arbitrage it created), then connect custody and prime brokerage back to the counterparty-risk theme that runs through the course.
