Overview
Akuna Capital's first online assessment (HackerRank) includes a timed mental math test, and this tool prepares you for it: 80 open questions to answer in 8 minutes. There are no answer choices, you type in every answer yourself, and Akuna's question style differs significantly from the Optiver and All Options tests that also run 80 questions in 8 minutes. Train for both speed and accuracy.
Game Phases
1
Read the question
Each question shows one mental arithmetic problem. There are no answer choices: you type in your answer yourself.
2
Answer in order
Submit your answer to move on. Questions come one at a time and you cannot skip or go back.
3
Beat the clock
Work through as many of the 80 questions as you can within 8 minutes.
4
No calculator
You cannot use a calculator in the real test, so train without one. Feel free to use pen and paper.

Scoring
+1
Correct answer
Each correct answer adds one point.
-1
Wrong answer
Each wrong answer subtracts one point, so only commit when you are confident.
0
Unanswered
Questions you do not reach score nothing, neither for nor against you.
Your score is correct answers minus wrong answers across the 80 questions. Because a wrong answer costs a point, guessing wildly hurts you, so balance speed against accuracy the same way you would in the real assessment. This practice tool uses a target score of 56 points.
