Overview
Traders are quick when it comes down to mental arithmetic, and the first interview round at most trading firms contains a timed mental math test. The Integers Test is where that training starts: whole-number addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in an endless stream, so you build base speed on round numbers before moving on to decimals and fractions. Answer a question and the next one appears immediately, in open ended or multiple choice format, for as long as your chosen duration runs. Chase the target score for your duration until you consistently beat it.
Game Phases
1
Choose your setup
Pick a duration and decide whether you want to type your answers (open ended) or pick them from the options (multiple choice).
2
Solve the question
Every question is a whole-number calculation: addition, subtraction, multiplication or division.
3
Answer to advance
There is no skipping: submit your answer and the next question appears instantly. The stream of questions never runs out.
4
Beat the target
Work fast but stay accurate until the timer runs out. No calculator; feel free to use pen and paper.
Scoring
+1
Correct answer
Each correct answer adds one point.
-1
Wrong answer
Each wrong answer subtracts one point, so accuracy matters as much as speed.
Your score is correct minus wrong answers within your chosen duration. Aim for the targets: 30 points in 2 minutes, 90 in 6 minutes and 120 in 8 minutes, roughly the pace real trading assessments demand. Your progress history is tracked per duration and per question type, so compare results within the same setup.
