Overview
Once round numbers feel comfortable, decimals are the next step, and plenty of candidates find them the hardest part of a mental math test. The Decimals Test drills addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with decimal numbers in an endless stream: answer a question and the next one appears immediately, in open ended or multiple choice format, for as long as your chosen duration runs. Precision under time pressure is the whole game here, so chase the target score for your duration until you consistently beat it.

Pick a duration and decide whether you want to type your answers (open ended) or pick them from the options (multiple choice).

Solve the question
Every question is a decimal calculation: addition, subtraction, multiplication or division, like 2.7 * 60.

Answer to advance
There is no skipping: submit your answer and the next question appears instantly. The stream of questions never runs out.

Beat the target
Work fast but stay accurate until the timer runs out. No calculator; feel free to use pen and paper.

Each correct answer adds one point.

Wrong answer
Each wrong answer subtracts one point, so accuracy matters as much as speed.
Your score is correct minus wrong answers within your chosen duration. Aim for the targets: 10 points in 2 minutes, 30 in 6 minutes and 40 in 8 minutes. Decimal questions take longer than integer ones, so the targets are lower but just as demanding. Your progress history is tracked per duration and per question type, so compare results within the same setup.
