Overview
Akuna Capital's first online assessment includes a sequences test alongside the mental math test, and this tool mirrors it: the same type of questions and the identical scoring system you will face on the day. You get 24 questions to answer in 12 minutes, and it is not multiple choice: you type in each answer yourself, just like the real HackerRank test. Expect more than plain numerical sequences, as questions may also involve alphabetic order or even the distances of planets from the sun.
Game Phases
1
Read the question
Each question shows a sequence. Identify the underlying pattern; it can be numerical, alphabetic or knowledge-based.
2
Type your answer
Enter the next element of the sequence in open form. There are no answer options to choose from.
3
Navigate freely
You can move through the questions and complete them in any order. Skipping is allowed and scores zero for that question.
4
Beat the clock
Work through the 24 questions within 12 minutes. Feel free to use pen and paper, but leave the calculator alone.

Scoring
+1
Correct answer
Each correct answer adds one point.
-1
Wrong answer
Each wrong answer subtracts one point, so only commit when you are confident.
0
Skipped
Skipped questions score nothing, neither for nor against you.
Your score is correct answers minus wrong answers across the 24 questions, with skips counting zero. Because a wrong answer costs a point, skipping a sequence you cannot crack beats guessing wildly. Aim for at least 14 points to be in good shape for the real assessment.
