The second and third rounds at Citadel Securities are interviews with traders, each about 45 minutes, by phone or video. They combine motivational and behavioural questions with technical ones: probability, Fermi questions and market making games. Some candidates also have a short recruiter call on fit and motivation, and in Sydney, internship candidates had a separate coding round. As in every interview round, you should start by introducing yourself and explaining your interest in the role and the firm. Prepare questions in advance to avoid running out of inspiration during the interview. Not having any questions is a significant red flag.
