Maven’s online assessment stage has up to four tests: numerical, probability, coding and the Arctic Shores games. Which ones you get depends on the programme you applied to. In the 2027 cycle, the probability questions are a section of the numerical test, so trading candidates take one numerical test: probability, speed maths and sequences sections, then a confidence-interval estimate. This topic covers the numerical test and the coding test. The Arctic Shores games are covered in the previous topic.
Order of the tests
US internship candidates take the Arctic Shores games first and get the numerical test about a week later. Graduate candidates in Chicago may skip Arctic Shores and start with the numerical test. If your programme has a coding test, it follows the numerical test. In the 2026 cycle the order was different: a separate probability test first, then a test with mental maths and sequences, and the Arctic Shores games last.
