After the online tests, and the recorded video interview if your programme has one, come live interviews, virtual or in person: first one or two technical interviews with traders, then a separate HR or behavioural interview before the final round. The invitation to the first technical interview can come about a week after the numerical test. The first technical interview can be short, sometimes only 15 minutes, so make every minute count. As in every interview, you need to first introduce yourself and explain why you’re interested in the role and the firm. Prepare your questions for the trader and/or recruiter beforehand as well, in case you end up out of inspiration during the interview. There is no bigger red flag than a candidate who has no questions.
