The technical interview at IMC will usually be with a trader, but you might also have the technical interview with one of the recruiters. As with many companies, you’ll be challenged during the technical interview with brainteasers, probability questions, (in IMC’s case very basic) option theory questions and a short market making game.
At IMC, they emphasise on the fact that they don’t find it important that you have an in depth knowledge about option theory. However, they do check if you know the very basics, to check if you have put some effort in actually exploring what the industry is about. An example could be: “Name the five most common Greeks”.
