Overview
The Arrows game is a flanker task: three rows of five symbols appear for 1.5 seconds and only the middle arrow of the middle row matters. Press left or right for the direction it points, and press nothing at all when the grid is made of crosses. The surrounding symbols are there to distract you, sometimes pointing the same way, sometimes the opposite way, sometimes replaced by dashes. Eighty rounds run back to back in two minutes with no feedback until the end, so this trains the same thing the real assessment measures: holding attention on one cue while ignoring everything around it, and not reacting on reflex.
Example: a mixed-flanker grid
Round 24 of 80. The middle arrow points left while every flanker points right, so the correct press is Left (Q). The loop serves six grids at 1.5 seconds each: flankers agreeing, disagreeing, dashes and a grid of crosses where the right answer is no press at all.

1.5 seconds per grid, no feedback until the end. Crosses: press nothing.
Only the centre of the middle row counts. The Correct counter moves after each grid, including the cross grid, where holding still is the right answer.

Game Phases
1
Read the middle arrow
A 3 by 5 grid appears. The arrow in the centre of the middle row is the only one that counts.
2
Respond, or hold
Press Left (or Q) or Right (or P) to match it. If the grid is made of crosses, do not press anything: the correct response is no response.
3
Keep the pace
Each round lasts 1.5 seconds. The grid dims when you answer and the next one follows straight after. Eighty rounds fit in two minutes; there is no feedback mid-run.
4
Review the run
At the end you see accuracy, average response time and a round-by-round review of the ones you got wrong.

Scoring
+1
Correct response
Right direction on an arrow grid, or no press on a cross grid.
0
Wrong or missed
Wrong direction, a press on a cross grid, or an arrow grid left unanswered.

Score
The final score weighs accuracy by how quickly you answered: fast and accurate beats fast and sloppy.
Score = (1500 ms minus your average response time divided by accuracy) times accuracy, floored at zero. A perfect run at 400 ms scores 1100; random pressing scores close to zero. Only your best run is remembered.
