Overview
Maven Securities' numerical test is one online test in timed sections: probability, speed maths and sequences, then a confidence-interval estimate as the last question. This test runs it as candidates reported it for the 2027 cycle, each section on its own clock. The directions ban pen and paper, a calculator and any other help for every section. Questions come one at a time and there is no going back. Each section ends when its last question is answered or its time runs out, and you start the next one yourself, so you can take a short break. To work on one part, pick a section on its own: it runs with the same clock and rules.
Game Phases
1
Probability 20 questions in 10 minutes, multiple choice. At about 30 seconds a question there is no time to work problems out, so you need to recognise standard problems and know their answers: skip a question you cannot place quickly.
2
Speed Maths 50 questions in 5 minutes: 4-digit additions and subtractions, 2-digit multiplications, percentages and a few divisions. Type each answer and press Enter. There is no skipping.
3
Sequences 30 basic number and letter sequences in 6 minutes, multiple choice: steady steps, doubling, squares, primes, letter patterns. Pick the term that comes next.
4
Confidence Interval The last question: estimate a quantity, such as the height of a mountain or the number of Airbnb listings worldwide, with a lower and an upper bound. Candidates have not reported the confidence level, so here you give a range you are 90% sure holds the true value. Type 2.5k, 40m or 1.2bn for thousands, millions or billions.
