Overview
Traders need to make split-second decisions and quickly spot anomalies on the screen, so the Reaction Test measures cognitive decision-making under time pressure. You are shown four figures at the top and one figure at the bottom, and you must quickly decide whether the bottom figure appears among the four above.
Example: does the target match?
Four reference figures appear at the top and one target below. Press M if the target is identical to one of the four, same shape and the same rotation, or Z if it matches none of them. Here the second reference is that exact figure, so the answer is Match. Watch the fourth reference: same shape family, turned a quarter, which does not count.
No Match (Z)
Match (M)
You get 2.5 seconds per figure. Hesitate and the question is skipped.
Game Phases
1
Compare
Look at the single figure at the bottom and the four figures above it.
2
Decide
Press M (Match) if the bottom figure appears among the four above; press Z (No Match) if it does not.
3
Beat the clock
Answer within 2.5 seconds. Hesitate and the question is skipped, so accuracy and speed both count.
Scoring
+1
Correct decision
Each correct match / no-match answer adds one point.
0
Skipped
No points if you do not answer within 2.5 seconds.
Target
Hit your target
Each duration has a target score to beat, so aim for it, then beat your own best.
Your final score is the number of correct decisions you make within the time limit. Longer sessions allow higher scores, so compare your results within the same duration. The target scores below are a benchmark for a strong performance.
